If you want soldiers only from one country find its U/V values and change the U/V for the rest of the countries to the one you want. If you feel we flagged something inaccurately, we'd welcome your input.Flags=(Country=eCountry_USA, U=0.0, V=0.0) The previous comment from the team was mainly aimed at CovetousCash64's suggestion.Īs always, we welcome all of your suggestions and thank you for your contributions. It is our job to complete your submissions. We welcome every submission and a few lacking flags are very acceptable. Flagging it as such would dilute the meaning of Cumulative on the flags for killing aliens or shooting down UFO which can be accumulated over multiple playthroughs.ĭon't worry Delith, your submission was mostly fine. Accumulating engineers and scientists did not get Cumulative because it has to be done in one playthrough. Also, soldiers could keep dying or you could finish the game before you get there. A lot of the achievements are missable as you can choose to simply not build a facility or do research in order to get them. This is not true for any but the achievement for completing a game from each starting location.

For an achievement to be Time Consuming, the achievement alone, without being able to work toward other achievements, requires at least ten hours. Hence, achievements such as for stunning an Outsider or capturing a live alien are flagged as Main Storyline. Main Storyline applies to achievements that are gained automatically when advancing through the game and cannot be avoided. Sorry if I come off a little bitter but it just sucks that my work is so readily dismissed through no fault of my own. I wish there was a disclaimer at the top of the submissions page that related to this so I could have saved myself some headache. So I'm not going to waste another hour of my time working on this when it won't even be looked at not because my submissions are inaccurate but because there are secret achievements left that have no way of knowing what they are. My info could be totally inaccurate when 5 achievements all say "Continue playing to unlock this secret achievement." It took me almost an hour to submit every achievement that was documented. At the time of my submission, the moderators haven't added the description to the rest of the secret achievements and until those are added, there isno way to tell the difference between them on the submissions page. Just because the horse follows the cart and not the cart follows the horse, doesn't mean you still don't get to the destination. It's tricky for sure, but I think they are main story achievements because, well, by popping them you advance the main story. I understand the Time Consuming flags and totally agree with CovetousCash's statement. "Earn this achievement by following the story". "Earn this achievement to advance the story"

It's just that the story doesn't advance. Capturing your first live alien advances the game's story, but I believe it's technically possible to continue playing the game without ever capturing an alien.

For example, 'Prisoner of War' is awarded for capturing a live alien. A lot of those achievements advance the main story, but aren't earned automatically (eg. I'm also unsure about many of the "Main Story" flags that Delith submitted. In addition, I think the achievement should have the Missable flag, because once your starting soldier(s) misses a mission, you can't get back on track and need to start a new playthrough. It's just a specific way of playing the game (making sure to send certain soldier(s) on every mission).

I don't think the "Ain't no Cavalry Coming" achievement should have the Time Consuming flag, because although getting the achievement requires a full playthrough it is not time specifically directed to that achievement.
